Care and Maintenance
Designed for Long-Term Performance with Minimal Upkeep
OASITek® aluminum underdeck systems are engineered for durability, longevity, and ease of ownership. With proper installation and basic care, your system will maintain its appearance and performance for many years.
Routine Cleaning
In most environments, OASITek requires only occasional cleaning.
- Rinse panels periodically with clean water to remove dust, pollen, or debris
- For heavier buildup, use a mild soap and water solution with a soft cloth or sponge
- Rinse thoroughly to avoid residue
Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or pressure washers directly on the panels.
Drainage & Water Flow
- Keep gutters and downspouts clear of leaves and debris
- Periodically check that water flows freely through the system, especially after heavy storms
Depending on your location, environmental factors such as pollen, dust, tree sap, or airborne debris may accumulate over time. These materials do not damage the system but should be cleaned periodically to maintain proper drainage.
In coastal or high-pollution environments, more frequent rinsing may be recommended to prevent buildup in panels/gutter.
Maintaining proper drainage helps preserve both the system and the structure above it.
Seasonal Inspection
We recommend a brief visual inspection once every year to ensure:
- Panels remain properly seated to each other
- Gutters and drainage paths are free of debris
Snow, Ice & Environmental Conditions
OASITek systems are manufactured from architectural-grade aluminum designed to withstand normal seasonal weather conditions.
- Snow and ice typically shed naturally as temperatures fluctuate
- Avoid hanging heavy objects directly from panels unless designed accessories are used, such as Ceiling Fan Mounts, and Porch Swing Mounts
Servicing & Access
One of the key advantages of OASITek is its fully serviceable design.
Panels can be removed and reinstalled as needed to:
- Access electrical components
- Perform routine maintenance
- Add or modify accessories
This serviceability helps protect long-term ownership value and code compliance.
What Not to Do
To preserve the finish and structural integrity of your system:
- Do not hang excessive weight from ceiling panels unless approved mounting accessories are used
- Do not drill or modify panels outside of approved installation guidelines
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, or pressure washers directly on the panels.
* Do not use the system to support loads beyond its intended design
